Abstract

This paper studies, related with the transformation process of China's foreign policy, that the proposal of 'Harmonic World' is introduced with the early stage of transformation of foreign policy based on the proposal of peaceful rising and the adjusting stage based on the proposal of peaceful development. The 'Harmonic World' proposed through these processes is a long-term goal as well as an ideological course of China's foreign policy. Also it has an aspect of practical foreign policy with strategical intention. But there is not only a certain gap between China's realistic status and its pursuing strategical intention but also a limit to the fulfillment of responsibility coinciding with its increasing state power and influence. In case of not overcoming this limit, there is a possibility that 'the rhetoric of Harmonic World' will degrade to faded vision inclined toward the revival of Chinese nation.
