Abstract

The World is in transformation and so is Northeast Asian security order. Technological progress is an exogenous but most portent driving force. The U.S. grand strategy in terms of military transformation and transformational diplomacy is also shaping the regional order, together with many endogenous factors of transformation within regional countries and their relations. North Korean nuclear issue is one of such transformation factors and at the same time affects the transformational process itself. A scenario-based analysis of the current events on and around North Korean nuclear program shows a possibility that North Korean regime may collapse to trigger region-wide transformation. Mutiplateral diplomatic prudence to manage current stream of events is called for.
