The most important task of international society including ASEAN is political democratization and economic development. This study shows that today``s tides of globalization and democratization have a positive influence on transparency of ASEAN countries. The associations among anti-corruption, democratization, and economic development are well verified in the groups of nations with the higher levels of GNI per capita and political democratization. It concludes that the levels of GNI per capital are related to national transparency in ASEAN. Briefly, the three phenomena including transparency, democratization and economic development go together in ASEAN with some exceptions.
