Abstract

Environmental problems are harmful aspects of human activity on the biophysical environment. Environmentalism is an attempt to balance relations between humans and the various natural systems on which they depend in such a way that all the components are accorded a proper degree of sustainability. The exact measures and outcomes of this balance is controversial and there are many different ways for environmental concerns to be expressed in practice. Major current environmental problems may include climate change, pollution, environmental degradation, and resource depletion etc. Environmental problems are addressed at a regional, nation or international level by government organizations. Using the international social survey programme 2010, this study has analyzed the environmental perception among Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Philippines citizens. This study shows homogeneity and heterogeneity on environmental perception among Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Philippines. Environmental education refers to organized efforts to teach about how natural environments function and, particularly, how human beings can manage their behavior and ecosystems in order to live sustainably. Environmental education is a learning process that increases people`s knowledge and awareness about the environment and associated challenges, develops the necessary skills and expertise to address the challenges, and fosters attitudes, motivations, and commitments to make informed decisions and take responsible action. Environmental problems can be solved through Environmental education.
