This paper investigated comparatively the institutions of intangible cultural properties in Korea and Japan to estimate their aspects that are reconstructing now caused by UNESCO`s convention for the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage. Especially, this paper focused on the japanese institution from the comparative perspective with the korean to make more broad base to understand the epistemology and politics of cultural properties.
