Abstract
Shi-Chosen-lu` is an account of travels written by Gong Yo`ng-qing(공用卿) who was an envoy dispatched to Chosen(朝鮮) in the later Ming(明) dynasty. It was almost never researched by historians, but have several important values as the historical materials. It is a kind of poetic records about the envoy`s passage and journey from Beijing to Seoul through Liaodong, a collection of poems exchanged by Chinese envoys and Korean reception civilians, a record about the ritual disputes between Chinese envoys and Korean officials. By this account of travels, Gong give us a good few informations about the situation of Liao-dong and Sino-Korean relationships in the later Ming dynasty. In a reception ceremony of the imperial edict, through claiming repeatedly that Chosen king must bow five times before the edict, Chinese envoy Gong could tighten the relationship of the approval and tribute between Ming and Chosen. Like Chinese envoy led the poems and Korean literary officials responded the poems, using the ``Cha`ng-he(倡和)`` diplomacy, Chinese envoy Gong and Korean king Joongjong(中宗) led and responded the international politics together in harmony. Therefore in this thesis, not only these values as historical materials of Shi-Chosen-lu` will be confirmed one by one, but also several attendant informations about the traditional Sino-Korean relationship of the approval and tribute will be ensured.
