Abstract
The root cause of the conflict and the process of war development were systematically considered by applying the analysis framework of cause of military conflict and war between countries, proposed by Professor Bremer's research team, to the Thailand-Cambodia conflict in 2025. As a result of the analysis based on the theory of war process, it was confirmed that the Thailand-Cambodia conflict was the result of a combination of multidimensional factors such as organizational elements, state attributes, dual relations, and historical experiences. In particular, the border dispute, which has continued since Cambodia's independence from France, has several factors of conflict even after the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling on the Temple of Preah Vihear in 1962. Although the temple is currently under a truce due to sharp conflicts between the two countries, they are likely to use the border issue as a means of maintaining power and achieving political goals by linking it with their patriotism. However, the possibility of developing into a full-scale war is considered to be very low.
