Abstract

This study explores the impact of Xi Jinping's biographical factors on China's Sent-down youth program under Xi's government through biographical narrative analysis. Xi's Sent-down experience as his biographical factor, significantly influenced his political convictions regarding rural revitalization and the cultivation of a spirit of struggle during his process of political socialization. During the Xi Jinping period, the Sent-down youth program has been centered on the goals of rural revitalization and youth training, drawing upon the historical event of the "Up to the Mountains and Down to the Countryside" Movement(上山下鄕運動) in China's current context. Xi's political beliefs and distinctive traits, shaped by his biographical factors, are currently employed to endorse and justify his implementation of the Sent-down youth program.
