Abstract
For understanding the new trends of Chinese intellectual society in recent years, this study explored the separation between Qian Liqun and Wang Hui, who are typical critical intellectual in China. The separation between Qian and Wang began with Qian criticized Wang Hui as nationalist and pro-CCP. Qian and Wang were very familiar with each other and were closely related in thought in the 80`s and 90`s, but they have separated in view how see the meaning of the legacy of Mao`s era and how understand of the function of CCP and Chinese government. This study pointed out Qian considered China`s problem as the legacy of Mao`s, contrastively Wang considered it as the capitalized and marketed China. This study analyzed the meaning the separation of the two critical intellectuals.
